naturemary Announces New Calgary Manufacturing and Innovation Hub to Accelerate Next Generation Pain Relief
Calgary-based health innovation company expands Canadian R&D, formulation, testing and manufacturing capabilities as it prepares for its next phase of growth
CALGARY, ALBERTA , CANADA, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- naturemary, a Canadian health innovation company focused on advancing new approaches to pain relief, today announced the upcoming launch of the naturemary manufacturing and innovation hub, a new million-dollar laboratory and production facility in Calgary, Alberta.Scheduled to begin operations this fall, the facility represents a significant expansion of naturemary’s research, formulation, testing and manufacturing capabilities and marks an important step in the company’s evolution from an emerging Canadian consumer health brand into a broader pain innovation company.
Founded by Sonia Kalra and Kapil Kalra, naturemary was built around a simple challenge: can natural compounds, modern formulation science and emerging delivery technologies create new options for people living with everyday pain?
That question has increasingly shaped the company’s direction.
naturemary currently develops plant-based topical pain relief products distributed through pharmacy, grocery, specialty and other retail channels. The company is now expanding its research beyond its existing portfolio, with work focused on new formulations, delivery systems and technologies intended to support the future of pain management.
The new Calgary hub will bring several of those capabilities under one roof, including product development, formulation, testing, quality processes, manufacturing and continued research into naturemary’s proprietary +BioTerpene Technology platform.
“We don’t believe the future of pain relief has to be a choice between traditional pharmaceuticals and natural products,” said Sonia Kalra, Founder and CEO of naturemary. “There is an enormous space between those two worlds for science, research and innovation. That is the space we intend to explore.”
The expansion comes during a period of significant growth for the Calgary company. naturemary has expanded its Canadian retail presence while simultaneously developing opportunities in international markets, including Asia.
For Co-Founder and President Kapil Kalra, the new facility represents something larger than increased production capacity.
“We started naturemary without a laboratory, manufacturing facility or large team. We started with a problem we believed deserved a better solution,” said Kalra. “This facility gives our scientists and team the infrastructure to ask much bigger questions about pain — and ultimately build technologies and products that may help answer them.”
The company describes its long-term strategy as creating a new pathway to pain relief — beginning with accessible consumer health products today while investing in the science, intellectual property and technology that could support more advanced pain-management solutions in the future.
The naturemary manufacturing and innovation hub is expected to officially launch in October 2026.
